With tariffs and market uncertainty placing financial pressure on producers, we would like to draw your attention to the federal government’s Advance Payments Program (APP).
This program provides eligible agricultural producers with low-cost cash advances to help manage cash flow. For the 2026 program year, the first $250,000 is interest-free for most eligible commodities. These advances must be repaid.
Goats are listed among eligible livestock. Members should contact a participating program administrator to confirm which animals or products qualify, the amount available and the repayment requirements for their operation.
